At present Wenjian Hainan restaurant is the only
Hainan Cuisine restaurant in China to not only have attained the « Must Try Restaurant in China Award » by Dianping, but also to be featured in the Michelin Guide 2019 and 2020 with a Michelin Plate Award. We are also very proud  to get the "Phoenix TV Award 2020 Best Restaurants in China".
Since December 2020 we have now a new Wenjian restaurant in Sanya City in HaiTangWan Duty Free Center.



Wenjian restaurant is using high quality ingredients sourced from across the Hainan islands to create a unique blend of traditional Hainan recipes with a modern edge, striking a measured balance between authentic regional flavours and contemporary Chinese cuisine. It is important for us at Wenjian that we resonate with the younger Chinese generations, who are both adventurous yet discerning, while not forgetting our traditional Hainanese culinary heritage.

Expectations of modern Chinese cuisine are changing, and since 2018 we are located in K11 Guangzhou, an ultra-modern shopping mall environment, it means that more than ever we must strive to find this perfect harmony of old and new - both in flavour and also technique.


This is the cutting edge of contemporary Chinese cuisine - we are excited to be a part of it, to adapt to these changing expectations, and to create our own unique space in the future world of Asian cuisine.
